Encodify Q&A
Encodify
5 min read
Encode is changing its name to Encodify in all markets.
What will be the impact for me as a client?
The name change will have very little or no impact on your daily operations with Encode. We will secure that all processes and systems are not affected by the name change.
Do we change the setup and name of the client sites?
Our existing clients will continue to use .encode.dk or encode.eu as URL and email from @systemmailer.dk or @systemmailer.eu. Clients with their own email and URL will keep this.
Will I still be able to reach you by the same email?
Yes. Every address has changed from @encode.dk to @encodify.com, but the old ones still work by forwarding everything to the new email addresses.
Are there anything else that is affected by the name change?
There will be minimal changes to the logo and brand design. However:
- Our services and level of commitment are not changing.
- No ownership, leadership or employee changes as a result of the new name.
- Our VAT number stays the same.
- Our bank account stays the same.
Why are you changing your name?
As we grow internationally, we have seen that it is becoming more critical that we are in control of our domain strategy. Right now, we see other companies called Encode, which own country domains and .com. Both are important for us to control when optimising our web presence.
With the slight change we are making, we will strengthen our position within the market and increase our possibilities, as we now own domains in many new markets to conquer. Our name change is an investment in the future.
Why did you choose the name Encodify?
The name Encodify is derived from our previous name Encode. We are shifting from a noun to a verb: ‘We encodify’. We build and configure solutions for our clients based on our brilliant platform.
What about the old name?
Encode will remain as a secondary name, but we will be known as Encodify as our official name and brand. We are keeping the old name as a secondary name to secure that we can still be found under the name Encode.
When will the new name go live?
The name change will be official as of the 26th of October, 2022.
